Board Sets Calendar for 2008-2009

At the regular March meeting, the Board of Education approved the school calendar for 2008-2009 with the first day for teachers being Thursday August 21, 2008. Classes will begin for students on Friday August 22, 2008 with students attending for a half-day. The first semester will conclude on Tuesday December 23, 2008. The second semester will begin after Christmas break on Monday January 5, 2009 for teachers, while students will report back to school on Tuesday January 6, 2009. Easter break will be April 10, 2009 through April 13, 2009 with the possibility of the break being extended due to any unused emergency days. The school year will end on Friday May 29, 2009.
